Christopher Speakman,  is inspired by the history that lies in
the Architecture of Old Buildings and spends countless hours
rendering his ideal American Landscape that are within the
formal structures around Boston.  His execution of detail and
precision are indicators of his graphic design background, but it
is evident that his real talents are his creative genius with a bit of
graphite and historical landscapes to spur his creativity.
Karl Frey, a native of California presses the boundaries of
American Landscape by questioning the reason why landscape is
devoid of narrative and humanity.  He expresses this idea in
cartoon based landscapes as well as traditional landscapes
painted on Legos.  Lego pieces can be manipulated and translated
into limitless possibilities to rearrange.   He just recently won the
Will and Elena Bartlett Painting Award from SMFA and was
selected as Visiting Artist to Direct I.C.A. Boston Family Day
Program
